Banquet Event Order
The Banquet Event Order (BEO) is the packet the kitchen and the floor use after you confirm an order. It lists what to make, when it goes out, and who is working.
Open the sales order and click Event.
Print it
On Event Plan, three links open a PDF:
Event opens Event Plan. Generate BEO is the full packet.
| Link | Who it's for |
|---|---|
| Generate BEO | The full packet |
| Kitchen | What to cook |
| Front of house | Service, timing, and staffing |
You can generate these again after you change the order. The PDF is a copy of the order at that moment. Generating one doesn't confirm or change the order.
What goes on it
Event Plan holds the run-of-show timeline and the staff roster for each service day.
Delivery and drop-off orders can skip the timeline. The page says the BEO then uses each day's delivery and ready-by times. Fill in the timeline when the event has a sequence, such as a cocktail hour at 5 and dinner at 6.
Staffing is a head count by role. Those counts print on the full BEO and the front-of-house version.
Confirm the order before the kitchen treats the BEO as the ticket to cook. See Your First Order.
Common Questions
Q: I don't see Generate BEO.
A: The links are on Event, inside Event Plan. Your role also needs permission to view the BEO.
Q: The times on the kitchen copy are the delivery window.
A: That's the fallback when the timeline is empty. Add the run of show on Event Plan when the event needs a different schedule.
Q: I changed the guest count after printing.
A: Generate the PDF again. The earlier file doesn't update on its own.
